A gigantic dyke - the \"Great Wall of Lagos\" - was built and behind it, a district reclaimed from the waters is beginning to emerge. Luxury flats, marinas, shopping malls, offices<strong>\u2009<\/strong>Eventually, Eko Atlantic will be home to 250<strong>\u2009<\/strong>000 inhabitants and 150<strong>\u2009<\/strong>000 workers. Public transport is another key issue for the future. The city is in the process of building a light rail system.
