The Rosewood luxury group, the new owner of the Crillon, has found a solution to the problems caused by these restrictions by offering its customers the services of a 'fragrance butler'. All the customer has to do is call and he or she will arrive with a trolley containing ten fragrances - five for men, five for women - all selected according to the mood of the city and the personality of the hotel. The Carlyle in New York, for example, offers the timeless Eau des Merveilles by Herm\u00e8s, while the Rosewood in Dallas offers Dahlia Noir by Givenchy. As guests step out of the shower or prepare to leave for a chic dinner, all they have to do is spritz on some perfume, and the fragrance butler is on its way.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Playing on its guests' sense of smell, Ritz-Carlton has designed the \"Your Memories\" programme. Each of the 86 establishments of the Marriott group's luxury chain will have its own note, with, for example, a scent of green tea in Kyoto or a signature candle with the scent of the Japanese cherry tree in Washington, in reference to the trees near the hotel donated by the country of the Rising Sun to the American government. The Ritz-Carlton in Berlin takes this logic even further with its new Fragrances bar, where head bartender Arnd Heissen creates cocktails inspired by the spirit of perfumes by Armani, Saint Laurent and Guerlain.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With strict security regulations, taking your favourite bottle of perfume with you on short breaks is no easy task.
