Bathed in sunshine, which is a rarity in early autumn, the new Salons Nework unveiled its assets to the press on 7 October under the right auspices. Located on the Port de Javel, overlooked by the Eiffel Tower and just a stone's throw from the Statue of Liberty, the aptly-named Salon Nework is undoubtedly ideally situated in a strategic area for businesses in western Paris. It is also the culmination of a development strategy initiated by Sodexo in spring 2008 when it acquired Yachts de Paris, and which can now be supported by the western part of the Port de Javel, where the three facilities combined - Le Paquebot, the Barge Liberty and the Salons Nework - have a combined capacity of 1,750 people. These event venues have now been awarded the \"Prestige Venues and Brands\" label by Sodexo, thanks in particular to the quality of the gastronomic offer by Maison Len\u00f4tre, and which capitalise on the complementary nature of the three entities in the Port de Javel haut, ease of access and the unique d\u00e9cor offered to guests. Nathalie Bellon-Szabo, President of Sodexo's Prestige Brands and Venues, sums up the experience: \"It's like being on the seaside in the heart of Paris\". Laurent Le Fur, Managing Director of Yachts de Paris, claims that his mission is to \"give Paris back to Parisians\" by \"allowing customers to make the place their own\". A case in point is the world preview held in conjunction with the Paris Motor Show during the first month of operation of the Salons Nework, with top-of-the-range vehicles integrated into the new space and even presented from the Seine.<\/p>\n

The new Nework premises alone can accommodate 800 guests in an 800 m\u00b2 space that is modular, functional and respectful of its immediate environment. For the implementation of this project - the first on such a scale on the quays of the Seine since 1966 - inevitably involved integrating the constraints imposed by the various institutions with authority over the area. With a green roof, solar power to power the 460 m\u00b2 retractable roof, and the use of environmentally-friendly building materials such as bamboo, the project aims to be eco-responsible, and to incorporate \"an air of Hamptons sur Seine\" into an architecture that perpetuates the codes of the riverside. Once approved by the various parties involved, the new space will have taken just four and a half months to get off the ground, at a cost of 4.5 million euros. This is an investment on which Sodexo is now pinning its hopes for growth: within five years, the group expects to see a significant increase (+25%) in the turnover of Yachts de Paris, currently estimated at 18.5 million euros. The signing of a new concession to run until 2035 is further proof of the long-term ambitions of Yachts de Paris, which now intends to establish itself as \"the new benchmark for the Paris events industry\".<\/p>\n
