Telephone, watch, glasses: everyday objects have never been so 'trendy', so 'smart'. And yet, if there is one faithful companion of the business traveller, it is most often the suitcase. But \"if you think about it, the suitcase hasn't seen any major innovations for several decades\", as Bluesmart designer Alejo points out. So when a team of geeks tackles this thorny issue, the result is a hyper-connected piece of luggage that opens up new horizons for increasingly trendy business travellers.<\/p>\n

Bluesmart is the name of this new kind of suitcase, whose strong point lies in its interaction with the traveller's smartphone. Travellers can use their phone to instantly find out the exact weight of their baggage, to avoid unpleasant surprises at the airline counter. An integrated tracking system also enables passengers to geolocate their baggage if necessary, and more generally to compile information about the various journeys they have made. And - the icing on the cake - the case includes a battery charger capable of recharging a smartphone up to six times. Another interesting feature is the digital lock, which allows travellers to simply 'lock' their suitcase via their smartphone. The inventors of the Bluesmart concept have no intention of stopping there: new functions are already being studied to exploit the full potential offered by this new intelligent suitcase.\u00a0<\/p>\n
