The Air France-KLM group is increasing its offer by 1.7 % this summer with two priorities: long-haul and its subsidiary Transavia, which is taking over part of the Air France and Hop! activity on point-to-point routes. On the other hand, medium-haul routes, which continue to lose money, recorded a 1.9 % drop in their summer capacity. On the long-haul side, Air France-KLM has made Canada one of its priorities: the French carrier has been launching five weekly flights between Paris and Vancouver since March, while KLM will be offering three to four weekly flights between Amsterdam and Edmonton from the end of May. From these two destinations, connections to the rest of Canada and the United States are offered with WestJet, the local Canadian carrier. Also in North America, Air France is resuming its Paris CDG-Minneapolis flight from May to September and is offering a second daily flight between June and August to San Francisco. In Latin America, Air France is increasing its frequencies to Panama, while KLM inaugurated three weekly flights to Cali and Bogota in Colombia at the end of March. In Asia, Air France is strengthening its services to Seoul and Singapore. Finally, in Africa, Air France is increasing its capacity to Dakar and KLM to Dar es Salaam and Entebbe.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On the medium-haul network, Air France is improving inflight comfort with a new leather seat. The airline will be adding frequencies from Roissy CDG to Billund, Bordeaux, Bucharest, Budapest and Naples. Finally, in France, all routes are now grouped under the Hop! Air France offer. The carrier is reducing the number of frequencies to Basel\/Mulhouse, Strasbourg and Toulouse from Orly, while international routes from the provinces have been suspended. This summer, the low-cost carrier is opening nine new routes from Paris Orly to Amsterdam, Casablanca, Dublin, Fez, Munich, Tirana, Thessalonica, Valencia and Warsaw, as well as between Nantes and Madrid.
