\"London is full of wonderful, confidential addresses. I like to keep an eye out for what's new, especially when it's a bit off the beaten track. This is the case with the Beaumont Hotel, a very elegant Art Deco-inspired establishment that opened last year in Mayfair, with a nice surprise: The Room, a room-sculpture designed by Antony Gormley. A massive, metallic, robot-like figure stands out against the classic fa\u00e7ade of the hotel. From the inside, the room resembles a wooden hut that the artist has designed as a kind of matrix. I like meeting people at the Beaumont because the service is impeccable. But for tea in the neighbourhood, I especially recommend Postcard Teas, in an eighteenth-century building. They offer teas from Sri Lanka, India, China, Japan... And the staff are totally dedicated to preparing the most perfect cup of tea in London! For a quick, informal lunch, head to Honey & Co, two stations from St Pancras station, where Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich prepare absolutely delicious Middle Eastern recipes. Admittedly, the place is tiny, but it's bright and functional. However, if you prefer an iconic establishment for a business meal, you should opt for Claridge's, whose chef Simon Rogan is currently the talk of the town.<\/p>\n

When I'm in this area, I love walking to The Mall, just a stone's throw from Trafalgar Square, to take a look at the works of fashionable artists exhibited at ICA, a cutting-edge cultural space. This is where you can discover young unknowns who won't remain unknown for long! What's more, you can take a gourmet break under the pretty glass roof. I also love the programmes at the Barbican Centre, a crucial venue in London, which combines the visual arts, theatre, dance, music and cinema in a 70s setting.<\/p>\n

London is a shopper's paradise. As I'm an obsessive foodie, I especially recommend Maltby Street Market, where I go every weekend. It's a veritable Eldorado of fresh produce! If you want to bring back a truly original gift, you can go to Lassco (London Architectural Salvage and Supply Co), in a funny house dating from 1758. Here you'll find all sorts of antiques: Victorian stained glass, Edwardian floor lamps, tables, chairs and statues, as well as candlesticks and small paintings that are easy to take away. In the basement, the bohemian chic caf\u00e9 is a little surreal in the midst of this film set... \"<\/p>\n
