Lufthansa wants to think bigger when it comes to the quality of service it offers its business travel customers. Twice as big, at least as far as theMunich airport<\/strong>. The inauguration of the new terminal, scheduled for 2016<\/strong>will enable the German company to double the number of its customers. lounges <\/strong>at the Munich hub. It will be a luxurious place to welcome first-class passengers and members of the HON circle<\/strong>and will be equipped with rooms <\/strong>bedroom bathrooms<\/strong>and even a cigar lounge, as well as work areas. A limousine service<\/strong> will provide transport between the aircraft and the lounge, on arrival and departure.<\/p>\n

While awaiting the inauguration of the new Munich terminal, Lufthansa business travellers can already take advantage of the a new gastronomic section introduced on 1 August <\/strong>on the long-haul network. The Business Class <\/strong>of the German company now intends to compete with \"a great restaurant\", by offering a service more flexible and personalised<\/strong>. \"After welcoming passengers individually, the on-board staff will take their orders and set the tables with ceramic tableware\", says the German airline. \"Meals will then be served directly from the galley, with trays and trolleys replaced by table service\". After New York (JFK) and Miami, the service now includes Houston, Johannesburg, Los Angeles, Delhi, Beijing, San Francisco, Shanghai, Seoul and Singapore.<\/p>\n

In this summer period, which is considered to be rather calm, Lufthansa is proving to be particularly dynamic. Perhaps this is one of the first consequences of the new ambitions recently unveiled by the German group. At the beginning of June, Lufthansa hit the headlines when it announced the introduction of a 16 \"GDS tax\" from 1 September<\/strong>. This additional charge for GDS bookings was not, however, the only component of the press release, entitled \"towards a reorientation of the commercial strategy\". In fact, the group mentioned the development of \"additional personalised services\", to \"allow passengers to opt for services adapted to their needs\". from summer 2015<\/strong> \".
