The marriage between the sharing economy and business travel is not yet complete, according to a study published this week by the Business Travel Show, which opens in London in a few days' time. There are still grey areas between theory and practice, between the forbidden and the laissez-faire.<\/p>\n

A threat for... 26% of Travel Managers: the perception of the collaborative economy in the European business travel market is divided, to say the least, according to the latest figures published by the Business Travel Show. The London business travel show is taking advantage of Uber's official participation in its business travel event to offer some insights into the image - and practice - of this famous sharing economy, based on the testimonies of 182 European Travel Managers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Managers who mostly deny (60%)<\/strong> their travellers' use of these new entrants, while 20% of those surveyed said they were aware that their employees were turning to these new-style suppliers. In the end, the problem may lie with the 'abstainers': these 21% of Travel Managers who simply admit they don't know<\/strong> whether or not this is the case...<\/p>\n It is therefore logical that these players in the sharing economy are not integrated into the travel policy in half of cases (48%), even though this is already the case in 8% of companies, and 12% of those surveyed plan to do the same over the next three years. Moreover, in 19% of cases, the collaborative economy is not integrated into the travel programme, but business travellers are nonetheless allowed to use it.
