For the last three years, I've been a fan of electronic tickets, particularly for air travel. For rail travel, which is less frequent, I have to admit that the electronic ticket system is less developed.<\/p>\n<h2>Whatever the mode of transport, what do you see as the advantages of electronic tickets?<\/h2>\n<p>C. L.-F.: First of all, there's the booking process. I can access the booking directly on the airline's website or that of our travel agency. Available 24 hours a day, this access is much more flexible than the traditional airline and\/or travel agency counter. Geographically, this accessibility applies everywhere. Whether I'm in Paris when I'm at head office, or on business trips to the four corners of the globe. With just a few clicks and in just a few minutes, I can choose a flight, make a reservation and pay for my ticket. The ticket is then sent to my e-mail inbox.<\/p>\n<h2>Do you see any other advantages over paper tickets?<\/h2>\n<p>C. L.-F. : For both the passenger and the company, logistics and costs have been considerably reduced. Previously, with paper tickets, the risks of error and loss were common, especially on journeys involving several legs. What's more, if you needed to exchange tickets or change itineraries, you had to go to a travel agency or an airline office. This meant additional delays that were detrimental to our business, which requires a high level of responsiveness.
