SkyTeam's strategy has increasingly refocused on passengers, with the promise of 'seamless travel' through the strengthening of service synergies between our members. Of SkyTeam's 665 million passengers, 30 million are transfer passengers. This is why we have introduced the VIP 'Skypriority' service in over 1,000 airports worldwide, an efficient priority service for our high-contribution customers.<\/p>\n<h2>Does the alliance model still matter for airlines and travellers?<\/h2>\n<p><b>C. K. -<\/b> Alliances enable airlines to cooperate with each other, particularly when there are legal constraints between continents. Today, we are seeing a trend towards consolidation, with mergers between carriers. Admittedly, this is an effective way of rationalising operations, but it works mainly within the same continent. Alliances are therefore still complementary between continents, where restrictions still exist. This will not change in the short term.<\/p>\n<h2>What benefits do you offer travellers?<\/h2>\n<p><b>C. K. -\u00a0<\/b>SkyTeam has a network of 1,057 destinations and we are the leading alliance in Greater China, with four members in this part of the world. This means that our passengers can fly to virtually any destination in China, and at any time they wish. Something that no other alliance offers in this region. Rewarding the loyalty of business travellers is also a key element of our alliance. Members of a SkyTeam airline's frequent flyer programme systematically benefit from the advantages of the 19 other members of the alliance. Premium passengers have access to a range of priority services throughout the world, such as baggage delivery and boarding.
