{"id":49071,"date":"2016-06-16T11:47:48","date_gmt":"2016-06-16T09:47:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=49071"},"modified":"2016-07-22T16:41:50","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T14:41:50","slug":"hrs-hotel-probes-business-market","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hrs-hotel-probes-business-market","title":{"rendered":"Survey: hoteliers confronted with the issue of business travel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HRS has published the results of a survey conducted at the beginning of May among <strong>217 hoteliers in France and Brussels<\/strong>of which two-thirds are independent establishments.<br \/>\nThe hotel specialist <em>business travel<\/em> was logically interested in the behaviour of business travellers, who represent the majority of customers for a third of the establishments surveyed. This corporate clientele was even in the majority in 42% of establishments located in major cities. According to this new study, one hotelier in two (51%) would describe the number of business travellers as stable.<\/p>\n<p>These establishments seem to have adapted their offer to the specific expectations of the business segment, now almost systematically offering the <strong>free wifi throughout the hotel (95%)<\/strong>(70.5%) and - more rarely - by developing a seminar offer (40%) or a transfer service (9%).<\/p>\n<p>All these measures are designed to satisfy a complex customer base: <strong>French business travellers may even be the most demanding<\/strong> in terms of personalised service for 44% of hoteliers surveyed. They are well ahead of the Americans (29.6%), Asians (21.6%) and Germans (21.6%).<\/p>\n<p>The other important finding of this HRS study concerns the<strong>impact of the Paris and Brussels attacks<\/strong>. American (43%) and Chinese (34%) business travellers had the highest cancellation rates after the attacks.
