Quite the contrary, in fact. From access to the terminal to arrival at your destination, there are a number of anxiety-inducing stages, which a study published by Liligo attempts to decipher. The travel search engine surveyed 1,287 people on the French market in March to produce the infographic below. It shows that the stress doesn't stop when the plane lands, quite the opposite in fact: retrieving checked baggage - one of the last stages of a trip - is the main source of anxiety for French travellers. 73% of them dread this stage, fearing that their precious baggage will never make it onto the conveyor belt...<\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly, check-in (62%) is ahead of access to the airport terminal (59%) on the air stress podium. Security checks (51%), then customs (43%) and finally boarding (40%) close the gap.<\/p>\n<p>According to this Liligo study, frequent travellers - including a good proportion of business travellers - are not necessarily \"inoculated\" against these anxieties. On the contrary: 58% of travellers who have flown at least three times in the last 12 months say they are stressed by security checks. The figure falls to 47% among travellers who have only boarded once...\".\u00a0<em>Surprising as it may seem, regular travellers are still apprehensive about the difficulties that these stages can entail\u00a0<\/em>\"underlines the report<\/p>\n<p>Business travellers can rest assured that fear tends to diminish with age. Liligo notes that only a small proportion of passengers over the age of 60 (39%) fear customs checks, while stress is more common (52%) among younger travellers (aged 18-24). Finally, according to the study published by the search engine, female travellers are more exposed to stress, whatever the stage of the journey. \"\u00a0<em>For each phase of the journey, the percentage of stressed women is always at least 3 points higher than that of men.<\/em>\u00a0\"says Liligo.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, it's worth noting that studies come one after the other and don't necessarily resemble each other.
