This will be the first direct service between North-East Asia and the Catalan hub. Three flights will be operated each week from the end of April, using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>To fill its aircraft, Korean Air is focusing in particular on corporate customers, both individual business travellers and the MICE market. \"\u00a0<em>Barcelona is also one of the world's leading cities for international conferences and events.<\/em>\u00a0\"As the press release published on 23 November points out.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish market is not the only one to benefit from the Korean airline's new ambitions. While it is not yet known when the new route to Tehran will be launched - Korean Air received authorisation last March but \"\u00a0<em>decide when to launch the route after an in-depth study of market conditions and the commercial environment<\/em>\u00a0\"The American market is also expanding. The SkyTeam member carrier will gradually expand its service to San Francisco, eventually increasing it to fourteen weekly flights. To Seattle, seven flights will be operated every week in May 2017, compared with five at present.
