According to the airline's management, the increase in European routes is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its European network. <strong>the company's new strategy<\/strong> to position itself solely as a <strong>network\" company<\/strong> instead of a point-to-point airline.<\/p>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>This is part of our <strong>hub company strategy<\/strong>. We want to optimise our European network, improve the connectivity of our routes and strengthen our hubs through optimised connections, offering new opportunities and shorter transfer times. This is particularly important for business travellers<\/em>\" explains Stefan Pichler, CEO of Airberlin.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_55847\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-55847\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Air-Berlin-.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-55847\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Air-Berlin-.jpg\" alt=\"DR Air Berlin\" width=\"700\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Air-Berlin-.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Air-Berlin--300x99-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-55847\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Air Berlin applies its hub strategy DR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The first hub to be affected by this transformation is Berlin Tegel. The airline has just announced that it will be offering more daily flights from the Berlin hub to major European cities, <strong>starting with Paris<\/strong>. From 26 March, the German carrier will be switching from <strong>from two to four daily flights<\/strong> between the two capitals with a change of airport. Airberlin will transfer all its flights <strong>from Orly to Roissy CDG<\/strong>. In Berlin, passengers will have access to the Airberlin network to Germany, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe as well as to the United States (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco) and Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n<p>Airberlin will also be offering more frequencies to Warsaw, Krakow and Prague, with four daily flights from Berlin Tegel to each of these destinations. These flights will connect with the rest of the European and domestic network. Finally, the German carrier will be offering two daily flights to Tel Aviv, instead of just one per day. This winter, the airline has increased its presence at its D\u00fcsseldorf hub with five daily flights to Zurich, two daily flights to Barcelona and Rome and the inauguration of three daily flights to Geneva.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AirBerlin will soon be serving Paris with four daily flights.
