Movinga's recently published International Removal Cost Index is aimed primarily at future movers\u00a0expatriates<\/strong>It will also be of interest to business travellers who use public transport. This comparative study of 75 towns and cities<\/strong> around the world - with a focus on 15 French metropolises - has targeted four items of expenditure<\/strong> The main costs for the first month of living in a new city: rent, telephone costs (SIM card with monthly data rate), food and transport costs. All on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n

This shows that Paris <\/a><\/strong>could - almost - appear to be an economic destination. At least compared to other business destinations<\/strong> internationally. Overall, the French capital ranks 16th position<\/strong>The total cost for the first month is estimated at \u20ac1,752.78, to be precise. Luanda<\/strong> (3052.77 euros) dominates this world ranking. The Angolan capital is ahead of two US destinations on the installation cost podium: New York (2889.27 euros) and San Francisco<\/strong><\/a> (\u20ac2,856.81). Zurich<\/strong> and London<\/strong> complete the top 5 and dominate the European rankings.<\/p>\n

Anticipating Brexit<\/h3>\n

Finally - and not surprisingly - Paris dominates the national rankings published by Movinga. Overall, the installation budget for the first month is \u20ac1,752.78, well ahead of Strasbourg (\u20ac1,222.70) and Lyon (\u20ac1,216.21), which complete the podium.<\/p>\n
