When it comes to business tourism, Ollandini is a key player in the Corsican market?<\/h3>\n

Anne-Catherine Mariani<\/strong> - Yes, Ollandini has been a must for many years. The Ollandini name has existed in Corsica since 1890, when the company's main activity was coach transport. Today, the MICE sector is represented in particular by DMC Corsica Events, which has been in existence for over 15 years and generated sales of around two million euros this year.<\/p>\n

How many corporate events do you manage each year?<\/h3>\n

A.-C. M.<\/strong> - Between 50 and 60 events. These range from hyper-exclusive groups of around ten people to congresses for 500 people, almost always in the shoulder seasons. Our market is 80 % French, mainly from the Ile-de-France region, but also 20 % from abroad, mainly Belgians and more and more Scandinavians. They generally come from the pharmaceutical, real estate and insurance sectors. We also get a lot of SMEs.<\/p>\n

Why Corsica?<\/h3>\n

A.-C. M.<\/strong> - Proximity, first and foremost. Corsica is just 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris, and has a great combination of sea and mountains. What's more, the beauty of the landscapes and the strong identity of this region means you can enjoy a complete change of scenery without having to travel far. It's said to be the closest of the far-flung islands.<\/p>\n

What programmes do you offer MICE groups?<\/h3>\n

A.-C. M.<\/strong> - In the mountains, there are outdoor sports, 4\u00d74 treks through the maquis, and canyoning. But don't forget the cultural side of things, with visits to villages or museums in the larger towns, but always in a fun way, during a discovery rally for example. On the seaside, there are water sports rallies, paddle-boarding, sea kayaking, zodiac trips, jet boating and even a mini-cruise in a catamaran, stopping off at wild coves. Often, for a more convivial experience, lunch is organised in the form of a 'spuntinu', a Corsican snack.<\/p>\n

Gastronomy is in with the times...<\/h3>\n

A.-C. M.<\/strong> - You bet! And in Corsica as elsewhere... In fact, we're in the process of setting up a partnership with a company that has created a Corsican food truck concept. Fun, isn't it?<\/p>\n
