AccorHotels is continuing its policy of forging closer links in the luxury hotel sector. Following the collaboration announced last December with Banyan Tree for the co-development and management of the company's top-of-the-range resorts, the French group has entered into a strategic partnership with Turkish hotelier Rixos. This agreement is in the same vein as the one signed with Banyan Tree, since the future joint venture will also aim to jointly develop and manage the Rixos establishments. AccorHotels will ultimately hold a 50% stake in the new structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With some fifteen establishments in Turkey, the Middle East, Egypt and Russia, Rixos' offer is essentially focused on leisure, with luxurious all-inclusive resorts, some of which have large meeting areas, such as the Rixos Sungate in Kemer and the Rixos Premium in Belek. At the same time, the Turkish hotelier also operates the country's largest leisure park, The Land of Legends, which opened in Antalya last July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of this operation, these establishments will remain under the Rixos banner but will be managed by AccorHotels and integrated into the French group's loyalty programme. At the same time, five city-centre hotels, previously under the Rixos banner, will come under one or other of the AccorHotels brands. The Turkish hotelier also has several projects in the pipeline, with the planned opening of a second hotel in Dubai, as well as the inauguration by the end of 2018 of a hotel in Abu Dhabi and in the Maldives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AccorHotels is continuing its international expansion, with the French group also strengthening its leadership position in Brazil with the acquisition of 26 hotels owned by Brazil Hospitality Group. These establishments will undergo major renovation work and will gradually be brought under the AccorHotels banner by the end of 2019, in particular under the ibis, ibis Styles, ibis Budget, Mercure, Novotel, Mama Shelter, MGallery and Pullman brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
