The statistics provided by the airport are a measure of the boom in the Polish aviation sector, with traffic more than doubling between 1999 and 2006, from 4 million to 8.1 million passengers.<\/p>\n<p>The airport's summer 2007 catalogue also gives an indication of this development, with no fewer than thirteen new destinations, from B for Belfast to V for Verona.<\/p>\n<p>Work has begun on a new terminal, which will eventually triple the airport's capacity. The arrivals hall of this terminal 2 was inaugurated in December 2006 and work is due to be completed on 30 November.
