Low-cost carriers - in this case easyJet, Transavia, Air Arabia and Pegasus - are getting their first taste of this new space, the opening of which marks the start of a vast development plan spanning several months.<\/p>\n<p>The major works are not due to be completed until 2018, when the existing and new halls will be fully integrated into Lyon Saint Exup\u00e9ry airport. With a new surface area of <strong>70 000 m\u00b2<\/strong>the <strong>terminal 1 will reach<\/strong> a size equivalent to that of all the current terminals combined. Winner of the Pritzker Prize ten years ago, the <strong>firm RSH+P<\/strong> has already made a name for itself in a number of flagship projects in the airport sector.
