However, Mexico City is currently experiencing a real wind of modernity.<\/p>\n<p>At tourism fairs and in cinemas alike, the Mexican capital takes centre stage. It's where the plot of the latest James Bond film kicks off, featuring the <strong>Dia de los Muertos<\/strong>the very festive \"Day of the Dead\".<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This opening scene gave worldwide exposure to what has come to be known as the <strong>CDMX, for Ciudad de Mexico<\/strong>. More than just an acronym: a new identity. Indeed, the Mexican capital is taking care of its brand image and combating ambiguities, starting with the homonymy - in English - between the country and its capital. The makeover should also help to reassure foreign visitors that Mexico City is objectively safer than other parts of the country.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The capital is transforming, rebuilding, deconstructing, renovating and innovating<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Strolling along the <strong>Paseo de la Reforma<\/strong>this <strong>a long business district<\/strong> in the heart of the city, there's nothing disturbing about the atmosphere. It's mainly businessmen in business suits and couples in embraces. The former are in a hurry or taking a break to have their shoes polished - literally - between two appointments, while the latter are enjoying a <strong>quality of life<\/strong> which has rarely reached such heights in the Mexican capital.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico City has even managed to attract tourists from all over the world, who are discovering a city that has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. <strong>a plethora of cultural activities<\/strong>a <strong>a thriving gastronomic scene<\/strong>A city in full emulation.<\/p>\n<p>The capital is transforming, rebuilding, deconstructing, renovating and innovating. The spectacle is sometimes chaotic, but that doesn't matter. This is the case of<strong>Aeromexico<\/strong> which has chosen to start operating its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Paris. Offering increased capacity and in-flight WiFi, Aeromexico's daily service is complemented by flights offered by Air France, its SkyTeam partner. The French carrier is also banking heavily on the Paris-Mexico route, on which it has launched its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/a380-air-france-simpose-en-pionnier-a-mexico-20160118.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A380 in January 2016<\/a><\/strong>. This too was a first, as the Airbus wide-body had never before operated a scheduled flight to Mexico. The code-share between the two airlines guarantees real flexibility, with business travellers able to opt for the morning flight with Air France (11am) or the evening flight (10.35pm) with Aeromexico.<br>\n<\/aside>\n\n<div style=\"background: #EFF0F0; padding: 10px 15px; border: solid 2px #af1b2d;\">\n<div id=\"_idContainer021\" class=\"Bloc-de-texte-standard\">\n<h3 class=\"encadr--titre\">Mexico in figures<\/h3>\n<p><strong>15<\/strong> - Mexico is 15<sup>e<\/sup> world economy, and the 2<sup>e<\/sup> in Latin America after Brazil.<br>\n<strong>2,55<\/strong> % - Mexico's GDP growth rate in 2015, a figure that has stabilised above 2% since 2014.<br>\n<strong>8<\/strong> - Mexico City came eighth,<br>\ntied with Washington as the top meeting destinations in the Americas, according to ICCA's 2016 rankings.<br>\n<strong>120<\/strong> million - Mexico City's new airport, which will replace the Benito Juarez hub, will eventually be able to handle 120 million passengers a year.
