It can also enhance a business trip. That's the credo of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/decideur-nicolas-petrovic-eurostar-20170406.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Eurostar<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Sony<\/strong>who are joining forces in an original initiative called <strong>\"Sound Menu<\/strong>. This <strong>one-month experience<\/strong>which starts on <strong>27 April<\/strong>is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/divertissements-en-vol-high-tech-20170426.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">entertainment system <\/a>offered on board Eurostar. It has been designed in collaboration with Dr Alexandra Lamont, who is Professor of the Psychology of Music at Keele University.<\/p>\n<p>This specialist in the link between music and mood has helped to develop <strong>five playlists<\/strong> designed to set the right pace for travellers, whether they're looking to relax or stay focused. \"\u00a0<em>We know that music, if it is listened to correctly, helps the brain to develop.<strong>escape<\/strong> or the <strong>concentration<\/strong> but research shows that many people are unable to relax or fully immerse themselves in it. For this reason, we wanted to offer travellers the opportunity to experience the best that noise-cancelling headphone technology has to offer, and to disconnect from the chaos that surrounds them.<\/em>\u00a0\"says Matt Coupe, Head of Sound at Sony.<\/p>\n<p>The most studious business travellers will therefore opt for the \"\u00a0<strong>Maximum concentration<\/strong> on work\", presented as a\u00a0<em>fast and medium tempo music with moderate and strong intensities, little variability in tone, catchy but discreet<\/em>\u00a0\". Others will be able to listen to the <strong>motivational playlist<\/strong>The Sound Menu also includes playlists to help you relax, enjoy the journey and refocus. She adds: \"\u00a0<em>We know that each piece of music creates a different mood, so travellers can immerse themselves in the music that suits their needs and enjoy a more pleasant journey.<\/em>\u00a0\".<\/p>\n<p>The launch of this experiment is based in particular on a <strong>study dedicated to music consumption patterns of business travellers<\/strong> and leisure. According to the results of this UK survey of 2,000 respondents, a good quarter (27%) of travellers never manage to relax completely during a journey, and 23% complain that they never switch off before important meetings. In addition, according to 66% of travellers, music helps them to relax.
