Well, Transavia in its current form, as the company was founded in the Netherlands in 1965. On the occasion of this anniversary, Franck Terner, Chief Executive Officer of Air France, praised the company's achievements.<em>exceptional<\/em>\"Transavia will complete the Air France-KLM Group's offer on a market that is becoming increasingly competitive. <strong>strategic low-cost segment<\/strong> alongside its parent airline Air France, Hop! and soon the new brand resulting from the Boost project. \"<em>Transavia has been a huge growth driver in the past and will continue to be so in the future.<\/em>says Franck Terner. <em>Its role in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trust-together-coup-de-boost-signe-air-france-long-courrier-20161103.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trust Together project<\/a> will be important. We have great ambitions to confirm its growth.<\/em>\"<\/p>\n<p>Since its first flight between Paris-Orly, the low-cost airline has continued to expand its offer, establishing itself as the<strong> first low-cost flight from Orly<\/strong> with 68 destinations, while offering 16 services from Lyon and 14 from Nantes. From 4 aircraft in its early days, Transavia had 8 in 2011 and 26 today, with its fleet made up entirely of Boeing B737-800s. Over the last five years, passenger numbers have tripled, from 1.6 million in 2011 to 5.3 million last year.<\/p>\n<p>While the fleet should reach 40 aircraft by 2020, four new aircraft are expected this year to<strong> an increase in seat-km capacity of 14%<\/strong> with the opening of routes to Beirut, Tivat (Montenegro), Palma de Majorca, Tangiers and Dakhla, the eighth Moroccan city served by Transavia. This has made Morocco one of the airline's key markets, ahead of Spain and behind Portugal.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_61403\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-61403\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Transavia-web-PimHendriksenDOTcom_5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-61403\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Transavia-web-PimHendriksenDOTcom_5.jpg\" alt=\"Transavia-web-PimHendriksenDOTcom_5\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Transavia-web-PimHendriksenDOTcom_5.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Transavia-web-PimHendriksenDOTcom_5-300x200-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-61403\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Transavia is now the leading low-cost airline departing from Paris-Orly (c)PimHendriksenDOTcom<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>While Transavia's core business remains leisure, the Paris-Porto route, with its five daily flights, is one of the most popular with business travellers, along with Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Tangiers and Tel Aviv. In this context, the airline will be able to draw on the Group's sales force to <strong>increase the number of business customers<\/strong>. Sales staff will now be able to include Transavia in their corporate contract offer in France, Spain and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>In mid-May, the complementary relationship between Transavia and its parent company was further strengthened when flights operated by the low-cost airline and its parent company went on sale on the Air France website. <strong>its full integration into the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme<\/strong>. While frequent flyers have previously been able to use their miles to book flights with the airline, they will now also be able to earn miles on the Plus (500 miles return) and Max (1000 miles return) fares. \"<em>From this winter, Air France will also be affixing its code to Transavia flights to leisure destinations where Air France does not offer flights, such as Essaouira,<\/em> says Nathalie Stubler, CEO of Transavia France. <em>This will further raise Transavia's profile among passengers, while expanding Air France's range of services.<\/em>\"<\/p>\n<p>What hasn't changed, however, but continues to evolve, is <strong>the company's digital dimension<\/strong>Almost half of its passengers are under 35. For this 'digital native' clientele, the site has been designed for smartphones, which enabled it to reach first place in Google's rankings for user experience on mobiles in 2016.
