The phonetic proximity to \" <em>young people<\/em> \"sets the tone for the positioning aimed for by this new player. Dominique Wood, Executive Vice President Brand and Communications at Air France, explains: \" <em>With Joon, we have created a young, connected brand that will give new impetus to the Group. Designed with our millennial customers in mind, it will offer more than just a flight time and a fare - it will be a total travel experience.<\/em> \".<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9sogwN2qVmg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, Air France refuses to describe its new brand as a low-cost airline. \" <em><strong>Joon will not be a low-cost airline<\/strong> because it is a <strong>offbeat offer<\/strong> whose <strong>quality standards<\/strong> remain loyal to those of Air France<\/em> \"warns the press release. The only certainty is that Joon will begin its <strong>medium-haul operations from this autumn, <\/strong>to the Iberian Peninsula. The airline will then head for <strong>long-haul network in summer 2018<\/strong>. The brand's visual identity will be based on \" <em>on an electric blue colour code that expresses the company's dynamism, but also symbolises the sky, space and travel<\/em> \".<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>a historic moment for several reasons<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>Joon is a new stage in the deployment of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trust-together-coup-de-boost-signe-air-france-long-courrier-20161103.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Trust Together strategic plan<\/strong><\/a><\/em>\u00a0\"explains Franck Terner, Chief Executive Officer of Air France.\u00a0<em>a historic moment for several reasons<\/em>\" . \"\u00a0<em>Its creation will improve the profitability of the Air France group, enabling it to reduce its costs and thus ensure the sustainability of its business model.<\/em>. Finally, the Group's management describes Joon as \"\u00a0<em>Air France's complementary little sister, which will encourage customers to travel with its older sister too<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>With this new entity, Air France is following in the footsteps of other traditional airlines, in search of new sources of revenue and determined to counter-attack the low-cost carriers which are attacking long-haul routes, such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/norwegian-le-pari-du-long-courrier-low-cost-a-paris-20160219.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Norwegian<\/a><\/strong>. Le <strong>IAG Group<\/strong>\u00a0(International Airlines Group) has also launched <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/level-low-cost-iag-20170320.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Level <\/a><\/strong>in the month of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/low-cost-long-courrier-level-20170601.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">last June<\/a>. With the - subtle - difference that the parent company of British Airways and Iberia has not hesitated to label its new offer as a low-cost
