Launched a few weeks ago, the Google Maps \"parking\" feature<\/strong> was previously limited to United States<\/strong>. Since the end of August, motorists travelling in Paris <\/a><\/strong>are also concerned. The French capital is one of the 25 destinations covered<\/strong> by this extension of the tool, just like Amsterdam, London<\/a>Barcelona, or, further afield, the towns of Montr\u00e9al<\/a>, Rio de Janeiro<\/a> or Toronto.<\/p>\n

In practical terms, once the destination address has been entered and the user selects the car option, the application will show them at the bottom of the screen what to expect when parking their vehicle, according to three levels of difficulty. Google says that it bases this information on historical parking data, \"\u00a0with a little machine learning magic<\/em>\u00a0\"...<\/p>\n

American motorists are still in the driving seat. In 25 US cities, Google Maps goes one step further by showing users nearby available car parks, and then the route from this parking location to the final destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
