Following the agreement reached with Uber, AirAsia passengers will now be able to book their journeys to and from 52 towns<\/strong> spread across 16 markets in Asia-Pacific and the United States, where AirAsia is present and where the Uber app is available.<\/p>\n

The agreement is a first for Uber<\/strong> which will boost its profile in Asia, where the VTC service provider is facing fierce competition from Grab<\/strong> (based in Singapore) as well as a number of local suppliers.<\/p>\n

In Asia\/Pacific, Uber is present in 19 countries, in 112 cities on both continents. The app recently expanded its presence in South-East Asia with its debut in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, promising to also be present in other Cambodian destinations such as Siem Reap\/Angkor, Battambang, the country's second-largest city, or on the coast in Sihanoukville.<\/p>\n

AirAsia users will be able to request or schedule rides on an Uber vehicle up to 30 days in advance, when confirming AirAsia flight bookings or when checking in for AirAsia flights via web or mobile.<\/p>\n
