The merger would have created a Spanish hotel giant with 600 hotels worldwide. The Board of Directors of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-federico-gonzalez-tejera-pdg-du-groupe-nh-hotels-20151002.html\/\">NH Hotels<\/a> unanimously turned down the offer. Several reasons were given: according to the group, \"\u00a0<em>The exchange ratio does not reflect the relative valuation of the two companies<\/em>\u00a0\". In addition, this proposal \"\u00a0<em>does not take into account the potential of <strong>independent revaluation of NH<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\". In addition - again according to NH Hotels - Barcelo's offer \"\u00a0<em>does not reflect the growth potential of NH's results, nor <strong>the value of the assets it owns in Europe<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\".<\/p>\n<h3>NH Hotels remains confident in its strategic plan<\/h3>\n<p>NH Hotels was also unhappy that the offer did not include <strong>no liquidity alternative for shareholders<\/strong> of the Group. This choice is also explained by the confidence that the Group's managers have placed in their strategic plan. According to them, it brings \"\u00a0<em>a <strong>solid revenue growth<\/strong> and a <strong>operational improvement<\/strong> significant<\/em>\u00a0\". Despite this rather dry rejection, NH <strong>does not close the door to other offers<\/strong> potential \"\u00a0<em>which would be assessed on the basis of the real value they could generate for all NH Hotel Group shareholders<\/em>\u00a0\".<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NH Hotels group has turned down the offer to buy Barcelo Hotel.
