Modernising meeting rooms: that's the goal Samsung has set itself with its Flip<\/strong> board. The connected board unveiled at the CES 2018<\/a> is available for sale from first week of January<\/strong>. This device is intended to replace the usual means of communication during meetings by offering a connected object. The Flip Board is 55 inches<\/strong>has 8 GB of memory<\/strong>a Tizen 3.0 SoC processor and a resolution of 3840 x 2160<\/strong> UHD. The device is priced at\u00a02,500 euros excluding tax<\/strong> with a 3-year guarantee.<\/p>\n

Samsung integrates Miracast on its Flip<\/h3>\n

The Flip is compatible with the Miracast<\/strong>Flip, which enables the display of a computer to be transferred to that of the screen in question. Users can therefore transfer the image from a PC screen to the Flip. However, this option is restricted to computers running a version of Windows greater than or equal to 8.1<\/strong>. Other PCs and Macs will have to use a cable. HDMI<\/strong>. Compatibility extends to Android-based smartphones, but not on iOS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An interchangeable stylus<\/h3>\n

The design of the displayboard emphasises simplicity of use: it functions as a flipchart<\/strong> but any object can write on it. The screen perceives the thickness of the stylus<\/strong> and adapts the size of the writing. Two wooden styluses are sold with the board, which, when extracted from the side sleeve, automatically switch on the screen. The user has no more need for an eraser <\/strong>They can go back or erase their handwriting using their fingers. The Samsung Flip also has a \"text\" mode.\u00a0blackboard<\/strong>\u00a0\"For those nostalgic for the school benches.<\/p>\n

Sharing work in meetings<\/h3>\n

The documents produced can then be locked using thea four-digit code<\/strong> or shared by email with colleagues. Users can also print from the device, or export their work to a USB stick. For the moment, the document created is only available in a proprietary format<\/strong> from Samsung<\/strong>But other file types will be implemented in the future.
