Airlines such as Emirates and Air India have chosen to operate flights with all-female crews. For its part, HRS wanted to find out how professional women travellers <strong>interact with technology<\/strong>. The survey of <strong>690 women<\/strong> provides information on the use of smartphones by women.<\/p>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, like their male colleagues, women commonly use applications while on business trips. In most cases (<strong>69\u00a0%<\/strong>), they prepare their trip with the help of <strong>three apps<\/strong>\u00a0to the maximum, which could be explained by the redundancy of certain functions. Once you arrive at your destination, the catalogue of applications used expands slightly, a <strong>quarter of female travellers<\/strong> using <strong>more than three<\/strong> mobile services. This discrepancy is probably due to the needs of travellers: a currency exchange application is of no use at home, but is essential abroad.<\/p>\n<h3>Convenience before safety<\/h3>\n<p>One woman in two (<strong>49 %<\/strong>), would above all like to use their smartphone to <strong>speed up check-in and check-out at the hotel<\/strong>\u00a0a feature that goes beyond the e-concierge offer (44 %), and what HRS describes as \"\u00a0<em>safety\u00a0<\/em>\"through a \"\u00a0<em>optimal control system\u00a0<\/em>\".<\/p>\n<p>As for artificial intelligence, which is the focus of much attention, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/etude-adagio-voyageuses-affaires-20170414.html\/\">business travellers<\/a> seem to have a firm grasp of their subject, and are optimistic. Indeed, a large majority of those surveyed (<strong>61,67 %<\/strong>) are able to <strong>defining AI<\/strong>and <strong>58 %<\/strong> of them\u00a0<em>believe that it will revolutionise <strong>way of travelling<\/strong> and deeply <strong>improve the experience<\/strong> traveller<\/em>\u00a0\". However, the travellers are not pitting technology against people: <strong>65%<\/strong> of female travellers believe that instead of isolating us, new technologies allow us to <strong>make exchanges more fluid<\/strong> with others, while making travel easier.<\/p>\n<p>The authors of the survey didn't hesitate to try their hand at science fiction, sharing with the respondents the \"\u00a0<em>dream\u00a0<\/em>\"of a\u00a0<em>perfect business trip\u00a0<\/em>\". Women business travellers clearly do not envisage a future without business travel: substitutes such as the<strong>hologram<\/strong> (<strong>11,67 %<\/strong>) or <strong>augmented reality glasses<\/strong> (<strong>11,67 %<\/strong>) were not favoured by the sample.
