The brand new United Polaris show opens its doors in Newark on 4 June. In keeping with the Polaris range<\/a>which pays particular attention to travellers' sleep, the new lounge features a dozen private sofa-beds<\/strong> are testament to the quality of bedding offered by United. The new United Polaris lounge covers more than 2,500 m\u00b2 and seats no fewer than 455 people<\/strong>. An XXL lounge, equipped with ten showers with Cowshed Spa products from Soho House & Co<\/strong> allowing passengers to freshen up before enjoying New York or catching a connecting flight. In addition, the lounge offers a personalised service including steam ironing of clothes<\/strong>. Business travellers can also recharge their batteries with the 570 power sockets and 450 USB ports installed<\/strong>or access one of the four private telephone rooms to continue working.<\/p>\n

When it comes to culinary delights, passengers can enjoy the talents of the private chef working in the rprivate restaurant seating 48<\/strong>. The chef has created a menu of varied flavours, tinged with local culture. A buffet will also be available for passengers in a hurry.<\/strong>. It will be serving bagels, sandwiches and wraps. Spirits will also be on the menu, United Polaris offers a bar with several specialities<\/strong> such as the United Polaris Star cocktail, made with aniseed-flavoured vodka, or the Fernet About It, a variation on Cuba Libre.<\/p>\n

This new lounge echoes the United Polaris range unveiled in June 2016 by the company, which explained at the time that it wanted to focus on travellers' quality of sleep<\/strong>.
