The H\u00f4tel Lutetia reopened its doors on 12 July after four years of renovation by Jean-Michel Wilmotte<\/strong>. Accompanied by a number of artists, craftsmen and architects from B\u00e2timents de France, the architect has taken care to preserve the spirit of the premises, while at the same time bringing in light. This has been achieved by creating a patio and illuminating the historic glass roof of the Salon Saint Germain, enhanced by a colourful contemporary work by artist Fabrice Hyber.<\/p>\n

\"The decor changes, but the unrivalled spirit remains<\/em>\"says the hotel. Completely reinvented, the Lutetia, now operated by The Set group, which also owns the Conservatorium in Amsterdam and the Caf\u00e9 Royal in London, makes no secret of its ambition to become the leading palace on the Left Bank. For a clientele in love with Paris and Saint-Germain-des-Pr\u00e9s, it will offer 184 contemporary luxury rooms<\/strong>233 rooms when it closed in 2014. These include seven signature suites, two of which open onto superb panoramic terraces. Well-being being being the main focus of the rejuvenation of this legendary establishment, hotel guests will also be able to enjoya 700 m\u00b2 spa<\/strong>There is also the Akasha spa, with its 17-metre swimming pool.<\/p>\n

This new setting also lends itself to business meetings, with six exclusive lounges equipped with the latest technology, and the hotel's events team on hand to help organisers create the perfect event. tailor-made meetings and seminars<\/strong>It is also available for cocktail parties and evening events. The 310 m\u00b2 Cristal lounge can accommodate up to 350 people.<\/p>\n

In terms of gastronomy, chef Benjamin Brial will oversee the hotel's catering, in particular the l'Orangerie restaurant. the famous Brasserie Lutetia<\/strong>The restaurant, which will not reopen its doors until September, will feature a menu designed by G\u00e9rald Passedat, the three-star chef from Le Petit Nice in Marseille.
