This study, which constitutes the <strong>5th Global Travel Forecast<\/strong>is forecasting an overall increase of <strong>3,7%<\/strong> in the hotel industry, and <strong>2,6%<\/strong> in the air.<\/p>\n<p>Oil prices are therefore likely to drive up airfares, as is the increase in ancillary costs. The EMEA region will be particularly affected by this rise (4.8%), and in particular the <strong>French market (6.9%)<\/strong> according to this Global Travel Forecast. Conversely, the Americas region should be relatively unaffected: price rises will be contained in the North (1.8%), and airfares should even fall in Latin America (2%).<\/p>\n<p>In the hotel sector, the EMEA region should see the same dynamic as the airline sector, according to GBTA and CWT.
