On the banks of the Clyde, opposite the SEC conference centre, the composite-panel fa\u00e7ade of the Radisson Red does not go unnoticed: in the blink of an eye, it turns from yellow to intense red depending on the light. Inaugurated last May, this is the second Radisson Red in Europe, a connected hotel concept where most interactions with the establishment are managed via Red, the dedicated application. Self check-in, ordering meals, booking a meeting room: everything is done via smartphone or tablet. Inspired by the world of art and fashion, the d\u00e9cor, dotted with flashy red in the public areas, has a pop feel. White, on the other hand, dominates the 174 bright, minimalist rooms. Ranging in size from 28 m2 to 38 m2, they all boast views of the city or the river and unique wallpaper designed by Glasgow comic strip artist Frank Quitely. Restaurant, rooftop bar and flexible meeting room, 100 m2. Adjacent to Glasgow Central station, this is the city's legendary hotel, where Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy and Frank Sinatra have stayed. This venerable Victorian building, erected in 1893 and renovated from top to bottom in 2010, immerses visitors in the cosy, romantic atmosphere of the grand hotels of yesteryear, with marble floors, wood panelling, coffered ceilings and monumental staircases. The establishment, dotted with period photos depicting the history of Glasgow in the early 20th century, has 186 elegant rooms, ranging in size from 20 m2 to 60 m2, with dark wood furnishings, distressed leather armchairs and plain wallpaper in subtly faded tones. Restaurant, champagne bar and 21 flexible meeting and banqueting rooms for up to 400 guests. In the chic West End, opposite the undulating Victorian glasshouse of the Botanic Gardens, Oran Mor is a cosy pub... housed in a church with a bell tower lit up like a dance floor until late at night. On the brasserie menu are salmon and haggis, the traditional Scottish dish: a sheep's belly stuffed with mutton offal accompanied by mashed potatoes and turnips. In addition to its pub, the establishment has a nightclub, a well-stocked whisky bar and a famous concert hall in the nave of the building, with a capacity of 80 to 400 people. The Corinthian offers a palatial setting in one of Merchant City's richest nineteenth-century buildings, designed by David Hamilton, a stonemason who became the Tobacco Lords' favourite architect and was once a bank. In addition to the Corinthian capital columns that inspire the name of the establishment, the venue, which is partly under a glass dome, combines original features with contemporary materials: Corian tables and elaborate ceilings, mosaic floors and wood salvaged from whisky barrels. Restaurant-brasserie, cosy bar, nightclub and casino. The hotel has 14 private lounges with a capacity of 200 guests. Built on the banks of the River Clyde, the museum is emblematic of the urban regeneration of this port area, which once constituted the wealth of the city before becoming a disaster area with the industrial decline of the 1950s. The building, designed by Zaha Hadid in 2011, houses an extensive collection of all forms of transport, including many models of the ships built in the Clyde shipyards. Many of the cars and motorbikes are displayed on four levels of platforms, like miniatures in a toy shop. The highlight of the exhibition is the reconstruction of a cobbled street from the 1900s, lined with period shops and pubs, and featuring a horse-drawn tramway. The venue has a private area for up to 120 guests. Moored in front of the museum, the Glenlee, a three-masted ship built in Glasgow in 1896, can be visited and can also host events and dinners for up to 200 people. Just a stone's throw from Central Station, the first building built by Mackintosh (1895) has been converted into a centre for design and architecture since 1999. The site organises temporary exhibitions and presents a permanent exhibition devoted to Mackintosh. Videos, models and interactive screens detail his key buildings and evoke his work in London as a wallpaper designer and in Port-Vendres, where he devoted himself to painting. The tower built by the architect is accessible all the way to the top, and has a meeting room for 14 people. Several private areas are also available, including a flexible conference room and The Dootcot, a caf\u00e9 perched on the top level under a vast glass roof, for up to 150 participants. In 1901, Mackintosh took part in an architectural competition to design a \"villa for an art lover\". His proposal, which was disqualified because it was submitted after the deadline, was nevertheless singled out for the originality of its design. In 1989, Graham Roxburgh, a specialist in the restoration of Mackintosh's work, undertook to have the house built from the architect's drawings. Set in a park, it was inaugurated in 1996 with the aim of promoting art and design. Although the original plans have been extensively altered, the House for an Art Lover faithfully recreates three of Mackintosh's drawing rooms, including an astonishing immaculately white music room and its furniture, including a piano cabinet that looks like something out of a fairytale. Capacity: 150 guests. The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland's largest conference centre. Located on the banks of the River Clyde, it has five exhibition halls - totalling 22,355 m\u00b2 - and around ten meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 600 participants. It is connected to the Amadillo, a 3,000-seat auditorium designed by Norman Foster and located 100 metres from the Hydro, a state-of-the-art multi-purpose arena designed by the same architect with a capacity of 12,000.
