In fact, only one company in five (<strong>19 %<\/strong>) takes this criterion into account in its accommodation policies, according to the two business travel specialists.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>the safety measures to be applied sometimes conflict with commercial priorities<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Greeley Koch<\/strong>the Managing Director of ACTE Global, notes that \". <em>Hotel security is an integral part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/duty-of-care-exercice-20180723.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Duty to protect<\/strong> <\/a>often ignored<\/em> \". According to <strong>Charline Gelin<\/strong> \" <em>Organisations are increasingly sending their travellers to higher-risk locations, but the security measures to be applied sometimes conflict with business priorities.<\/em> \". The Regional Security Manager at International SOS and Control Risks added: \" <em>Companies of all types are extending their areas of activity into medium to extreme risk destinations, but most managers do not take the time or have the technical resources to implement controls on hotel safety and security.<\/em> \".<\/p>\n<p>However, a poor assessment of hotel security can not only have consequences for the well-being of travellers, but can also, and above all, be costly for companies. For example, one organisation had to pay <strong>300,000<\/strong> damages to the wife of an employee who was seriously injured during a business trip.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, as International SOS shows in a case study, establishing a hotel safety assessment procedure can generate savings while improving employee well-being. In particular, this involves gathering information and carrying out a sound analysis so that the right decisions can be taken before and during the
