It's an ambitious programme, and one in which rail will play a decisive role, as recently stated by <strong>Elisabeth Borne<\/strong> to the Conseil d'Orientation des Infrastructures (COI). Rail is expected to account for more than half (51%) of this generous envelope.<\/p>\n<p>The roadmap will include the construction of five new high-speed lines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bordeaux-Toulouse<\/li>\n<li>Montpellier-Perpignan<\/li>\n<li>Marseille-Nice<\/li>\n<li>Paris-Normandie<\/li>\n<li>Roissy-Creil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project also calls for the expansion of the stations concerned, in particular Paris St Lazare. The Minister is now due to hold talks with the heads of the regions concerned to flesh out the project, which is due to be presented with the Mobility Orientation Law in October.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Transport Minister \u00c9lisabeth Borne has outlined the government's ambitions for rail infrastructure.
