The investments made in this area by <strong>All Nippon Airways (ANA)<\/strong> in recent months. Following an initial test phase in February 2018, the Japanese airline has begun experimenting with an autonomous bus at its Tokyo hub, Haneda. This test - conducted from <strong>15 January<\/strong> with Aichi Steel, SB Drive Corp, Advanced Smart Mobility Co, Ltd, NIPPO CORPORATION, and NEC Corporation - is due for completion on<strong> 25 January<\/strong>It is taking place in a technical area of the airport. It should lead to the full-scale deployment of these autonomous vehicles from <strong>2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to information released by All Nippon Airways, these shuttles are guided by magnetic sensors embedded in the ground. During the test phase, an advanced control system - the \"Dispatcher\" - will enable an operator to track the vehicle and regain control if necessary.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Facilitate traffic flow through the airport and enhance the travel experience<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\" <em>At ANA, we are constantly striving to move the [airline] industry forward.<\/em>\" says Shigeru Hattori, Vice-Chairman of All Nippon Airways. <em>This autonomous bus will help to ease traffic flow in the airport and improve the travel experience for passengers.
