Best Western<\/a> announced at the end of last week the acquisition of WorldHotels<\/a>a voluntary chain<\/a> \u00e0 a strong business focus<\/strong>. With almost 300 independent, upmarket hotels, the brand is present in most of the world's major business cities, with its offer divided into three collections - Luxury, Elite and Distinctive. Best Western continues to expand its brand portfolio<\/strong> after launching Vib in the lifestyle segment and more recently Aiden in the mid-range and Sadie in the top range. \"There is tremendous synergy between Best Western and WorldHotels. By joining forces through this new partnership, we will both gain in competitiveness.<\/em>\"said David Kong, CEO of Best Western Hotels & Resorts. The two groups share a common desire to welcome under their wings independent hotels<\/strong> to give them the benefit of their commercial power.<\/p>\n

While Best Western will be able to offer business travellers a greater number of top-of-the-range hotels in key destinations, WorldHotels will keep its own identity<\/strong> while benefiting from Best Western's distribution power. The German-born brand - WorldHotels was originally the Steigenberger group's central reservations office - will benefit from the commercial strength of the American hotelier, and its loyalty programme<\/strong>to attract new members. \"We are convinced that our distribution centre and our sources of revenue will benefit WorldHotels and attract many other quality hotels that are committed to their independence.<\/em>\"explains David Kong.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

American group Best Western is expanding its offering in the upmarket segment with the acquisition of the WorldHotels chain, which has a strong presence in business
