Admittedly, the constraints associated with its separate status have complicated the <strong>extensive renovation work begun in 2004<\/strong>Today, however, they guarantee visitors an authentic setting, above fashion and untouched by the whims of architects who are sometimes too visionary.<\/p>\n<p>Open from <strong>mid-April to mid-October<\/strong>The hotel is just like 'its' island: protected from the mass tourism that tarnishes the image of many destinations. <strong>Spestes<\/strong> has managed to retain the image of a destination apart, reserved for a clientele of connoisseurs - and the privileged - who know they can enjoy a quiet stay - cars are not allowed - in complete safety. The hotel's gastronomic offer includes <strong>three restaurants<\/strong>including the new Il Cortile, inaugurated last year. As for the MICE offer, there is no shortage of facilities for organising a top-of-the-range event, not only within the hotel itself but also, and above all, outside, across the island, by privatising the neighbouring Bouboulinas Museum, the Anargyreios Theatre or the Korgaileneios School, for example. These are just some of the assets that the hotel's management now intends to promote to corporate clients, in order to boost its business. <strong>MICE activity<\/strong> which now accounts for an estimated one-third of the hotel's revenue, including VIP weddings. And by staging so many large-scale events - from the Spetses Golden Cup beach volleyball tournament right next door to the hotel, to the tweed bike race and the traditional boat regatta - the Poseidonion has built up solid organisational expertise.
