The application Etihad<\/strong> is moving into wellness mode: the airline has just formalised a ground-breaking partnership with Panasonic Avionics Corporation, enabling it to integrate the Jet Lag Adviser<\/strong>. The aim is to combat jet lag<\/strong> and its impact on business travellers.<\/p>\n

In practical terms, Jet Lag Adviser tells passengers the potential impact of jet lag on each flight operated by the airline, by calculating a \"jet lag impact score\". Travellers can then find out specifically how serious jet lag is likely to be on their own flight, and then take the appropriate measures. In fact, the Jet Lag Adviser tool goes a step further by sending notifications<\/strong> guiding travellers to the good practice<\/strong> to adopt, not only during the flight but also upstream and downstream. \" The personalised jet lag plan integrates the stages before, during and after the flight, and provides a schedule of different recommendations and advice for each phase, at specific times, concerning the measures to be taken to reduce jet lag, such as sleep, exposure to light, exercise, hydration and the type of meal to eat.<\/em> \"say those in charge of the project.<\/p>\n

Etihad is not the first airline to tackle the problem of jet lag. Back in 2012, Finnair experimented with an in-flight solution based on light therapy. Last year, Air France and A\u00e9roports de Paris<\/a> had turned to meditation and yoga respectively. At the same time, hoteliers are also getting involved<\/strong> to combine business travel and well-being<\/a>.
