Representing an investment of 30 million euros, the contemporary two-storey building has been erected on <strong>220 spring boxes<\/strong> to absorb the vibrations of underground trains and metro systems, while its extra-thick windows make it easy to clean. <strong>isolated from the noise of the station<\/strong> and in particular from the flood of advertisements. Soon to be accessible via rue d'Alsace, a <strong>public garden<\/strong> will be installed on the roof of the hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The Okko Paris Gare de l'Est is now <b>the largest hotel in the young lifestyle chain<\/b> with <strong>170 rooms<\/strong>a 420 m Club<sup>\u00b2<\/sup> to eat and work during the day, a 50 m fitness area<sup>\u00b2<\/sup> with sauna and, for the first time, <strong>three meeting rooms<\/strong> accommodating from 8 to 40 people. An overnight stay with access to the Club (for a snack, aperitif, cold or hot drink, etc.), Wi-Fi and breakfast starts at \u20ac125.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>adapting to the expectations of our customers, the competition and changes in the hotel industry over the last ten years<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With a surface area of 18 m\u00b2, the rooms, spread over three levels, offer a design, colourful and functional decor imagined by the <strong>Studio Catoir<\/strong>. \"\u00a0<em>This is the first Okko hotel to feature our new decor concept, designed to adapt to the expectations of our guests, the competition and the latest trends. <strong>developments in the hotel industry over the last ten years<\/strong><\/em>\" says Solenne Devys, Product Director of Okko Hotels and daughter of the chain's founder Olivier Devys. It should be noted that the WC is now separate from the bathroom in order to meet the expectations of the leisure clientele, which accounts for 40% of the chain's visitors.<\/p>\n<h3>A Club space for coworking<\/h3>\n<p>The Club's interior design, on the other hand, was entrusted to Studiopepe of Milan, to create a cosy, contemporary atmosphere with a touch of Italy. For the first time, access to the restaurant is open to outside customers. For relaxation, it has also been equipped with a <strong>vinyl bar<\/strong> to be listened to with headphones. The Club has also been designed as a <strong>space for coworking<\/strong> where travellers can come and work between two appointments in Paris or in the hotel, while waiting for their train... Expect to pay \u20ac5 an hour, \u20ac15 for half a day and \u20ac30 for a full day. La <strong>Calm card<\/strong> for the most loyal Okko customers also opens the doors of these Club areas free of charge in the chain's 9 establishments.<\/p>\n<p>Okko Hotels has no intention of stopping there with <strong>four openings scheduled for 2020<\/strong> with Nice Arenas near the airport, Lille Centre, Toulon Centre and Paris Montparnasse. Another establishment in Paris <strong>La D\u00e9fense<\/strong> will follow in 2020. \"\u00a0<em>Within ten years we would like to have<strong>around forty hotels in France<\/strong> half of which are in the Paris Ile-de-France region. <strong>twenty or so in Europe<\/strong><\/em>\" adds Solenne Devys.
