Then came the A321LR, with its additional 15 % range, enabling flights between Paris and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/montreal-energie-creative-20181024.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Montr\u00e9al<\/a> or the Persian Gulf, for example, with smaller aircraft than those traditionally used for long-haul routes, such as the Boeing B777 or Airbus A350.<\/p>\n<p>At the <strong>Paris Air Show<\/strong>, <strong>Airbus<\/strong> presented a new development with its\u00a0<strong>A321 XLR<\/strong> - for Xtra Long Range - a single-aisle aircraft that offers even greater range thanks to the addition of a central rear fuel tank, but with a smaller <strong>fuel consumption<\/strong> per seat of 30 % less than previous models.<\/p>\n<p>Capable of flying over a distance of <strong>8,700 km<\/strong>The A321 XLR opens up new horizons for traditional airlines and low-cost operators alike when it comes to opening up new long-haul routes. With its lower passenger volumes, the A321XLR will be able to help the development and profitability of intercontinental flights from secondary cities such as Toulouse-Dubai, Nice- Paris and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/boston-lavenir-dune-tradition-20160701.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boston<\/a>Barcelona-Chicago or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/metamorphose-business-miami-20170720.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Miami<\/a>-Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">READ ALSO : <a style=\"color: #a71f31;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/avion-futur-rapide-durable-20191105.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\"Aircraft of the future: faster, more sustainable<\/a><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Among the first to order the A321XLR, the Lebanese airline <strong>Middle East Airlines<\/strong> intends to strengthen its network in Africa and Asia, while Australia's <strong>Qantas<\/strong> and its low-cost subsidiary <strong>Jet Star<\/strong> are counting on the aircraft to launch new routes to China and Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Expected in 2023, the A321XLR puts Airbus ahead of its competitor Boeing, which was planning to launch a medium-capacity long-haul aircraft by <strong>2025<\/strong>or even later. An American aircraft manufacturer already embroiled in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/boeing-737-max-8-20190312.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">problems with
