{"id":86771,"date":"2019-06-20T11:28:21","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T09:28:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=86771"},"modified":"2019-06-20T11:28:21","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T09:28:21","slug":"daily-mobility-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/daily-mobility-law","title":{"rendered":"Everyday mobility made easier by the LOM law"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Improving mobility while reducing the impact of travel on the environment: the Mobility Orientation Act (LOM), which is currently being debated and should be definitively voted on this summer, lays down <strong>a new framework for everyday transport<\/strong>. \"<em>With this bill, we are radically transforming mobility policy with a simple objective: everyday transport that is easier, cheaper and cleaner. This bill is a powerful response to the fractures and sense of injustice experienced by many French people who are struggling to get around, and it is also a response to the urgent need for action on the environment.<\/em>\" said Transport Minister Elisabeth Borne.<\/p>\n<p>Travel to and from work, for example, will be included in company negotiations on quality of life at work. The costs of commuting by car, bicycle or car pool will be covered by <strong>a sustainable mobility package<\/strong> with certainty \"<em>other shared mobility services defined by decree<\/em>\". This can be combined with public transport cover, up to a limit of \"<em>400 euros per year, including a maximum of 200 euros for fuel costs<\/em>\". At the same time, while mobility plans (PDM) are already compulsory for companies with at least 100 employees on a single site, the threshold should be lowered to 50 employees.<\/p>\n<p>The government also intends to speed up the transition of car fleets to low-emission vehicles.<strong> electric cars<\/strong>. Companies managing more than 100 light vehicles are required to have a minimum proportion of \"low-emission\" vehicles when renewing their fleets. From 10 % from 1 January 2022, the proportion should rise in stages to 50 % from 2030. From 2023, rental companies and taxi operators will be involved in this accelerated transition to electric vehicles, pending the phasing out of models that emit greenhouse gases, expected by 2040. The law also aims to make it easier to set up recharging infrastructures. Finally, the law encourages new forms of mobility, in particular <strong>the massive development of car-sharing<\/strong> through the creation of reserved lanes and financial support for drivers and
