The two groups have decided to join forces in a <strong>joint venture<\/strong>The project is now awaiting approval from the Brazilian and European competition authorities. Business travellers can look forward to increased connectivity, with Air France KLM already referring to \"\u00a0<em>the launch of <strong>new routes<\/strong> and direct flights between the two continents<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n<h3>29% market share<\/h3>\n<p>For the European group, the aim is to strengthen its positions, particularly vis-\u00e0-vis the <strong>IAG<\/strong> : \"\u00a0<em>We are still looking to extend our services to South and Central America, and a joint venture will certainly accelerate this process, as we can join forces to penetrate new markets and launch more direct services for the benefit of customers.<\/em>\" said Air France KLM management, adding: \"\u00a0<em>It is also a response to the competitive landscape, where the JV <strong>IAG-LATAM<\/strong> is already in place and represents 31% of the market offer.
