{"id":88131,"date":"2019-08-06T10:54:41","date_gmt":"2019-08-06T08:54:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=88131"},"modified":"2019-08-06T10:54:41","modified_gmt":"2019-08-06T08:54:41","slug":"peking-daxing-companies-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/peking-daxing-companies-october","title":{"rendered":"Beijing Daxing airport: airlines in the starting-blocks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Designed to relieve congestion at Beijing Capital airport, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/pekin-daxing-aeroport-20190225.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the new Daxing international airport<\/a> is due to open its doors at the end of September and welcome its new members.<strong> first flights in October<\/strong>. Carrying the IATA code PKX, the new airport will be primarily a hub for the following airlines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-china-eastern-airlines-offre-corporate-20170128.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China Eastern<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/china-southern-alliances-20190625.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">China Southern<\/a>. The former has announced the transfer of 10 % of its frequencies from this winter, with the rest of its flights set to move to Daxing in 2020. China Southern Airlines, for its part, will be operating 13 routes at Daxing from next October - 12 domestic routes, in addition to the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Eventually, <strong>China Southern Airlines<\/strong> is expected to account for 40 % of slots at the hub and China Eastern Airlines for nearly 30 %.<\/p>\n<p>Among the foreign companies that indicated their <strong>intention to move<\/strong> or opening services to Daxing include British Airways, which has already confirmed that it will be transferring its daily London-Beijing flight from Capital to Daxing on 27 October. For their part, Finnair and LOT Polish Airlines will be launching new frequencies to Daxing, thereby serving both airports in the Chinese capital. Finnair will be offering three flights a week between Helsinki and Daxing in addition to its daily frequency to Beijing Capital, while LOT will be offering a daily flight to Beijing this winter, with three weekly frequencies to Capital and four weekly to Daxing.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysia Airlines also announced last week the launch of a second daily flight from Kuala Lumpur to Daxing on 31 December, while maintaining its daily frequency to Beijing Capital. Finally, Kenya Airways and AirAsia Philippines have also announced their possible move to the new Daxing hub. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/destination-affaires-pekin-innovation-20180927.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the chinese capital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Located less than <strong>50 km south of Beijing<\/strong>The hub will be linked by train to the city centre of the Chinese capital. In its first phase, it will be able to handle 45 million passengers a year. By 2025, Beijing's two airports will have a total capacity of 170 million passengers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While the ADP group is putting the finishing touches to Beijing
