The adaptation of its product to a clientele demanding flexibility, reliability and simplicity has resulted in a <strong>remarkable growth in premium passengers<\/strong>. Between 2012 and 2018, the number of passengers travelling for business reasons rose from 10 million to more than 15 million, with last year recording growth of 17 %. Experts estimate that almost 25 % of all the airline's passengers travel for business reasons. Revenue per passenger rose by 14.4 % in this premium segment, an increase made possible by the airline's expansion in Berlin, but also due to strikes by national carriers such as Air France, which boosted sales.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new routes, the company also wants to <strong>strengthen its market share<\/strong> in the business world through three objectives: optimising schedules on major airlines and increasing frequencies to boost the number of flights in the time slots most in demand by business customers; developing direct contracts with its corporate customers and launching a dedicated website for SMEs to enable them to book more easily and automate invoicing; and finally, launching a more personalised range of products including <strong>new business rates<\/strong> and packages such as the Flight Club for Business Partners.
