More than a thousand flights are affected - 1300 to be precise - until Friday evening. Lufthansa plans to operate 2,300 of the 3,000 flights scheduled for Thursday, then 2,400 of the 3,000 flights scheduled for Friday. This turbulence should affect <strong>180,000 passengers<\/strong> in total, over a period of <strong>48 hours<\/strong>. According to the Lufthansa group, only the eponymous airline is affected, with the various subsidiaries apparently spared by the strike. Passengers travelling on the domestic network are being invited by the company to exchange their plane ticket for a train ticket, thus once again playing the card of the \"traveller\". <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/lufthansa-deutschebahn-express-rail-20191030.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>synergy with Deutsche Bahn<\/strong><\/a>. \" <em>According to European regulations, in the event of a cancelled flight, the airline must offer an alternative: rebook the passenger on a flight with similar travel conditions, or reimburse the passenger.<\/em> \"J\u00e9r\u00f4me Gratelle, CEO and founder of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-anne-laure-hery-air-indemnite-20190906.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Air Indemnit\u00e9<\/a>. \"\u00a0<em>The German airline points out that the cabin crew strike is a case of \"force majeure\" and cannot therefore give rise to compensation. Lufthansa refers to German law.
