Signed by actors such as <strong>Atout France<\/strong>the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau (<strong>OTCP<\/strong>), or the Direction G\u00e9n\u00e9rale des Entreprises (DGE) du <strong>Ministry of the Economy and Finance<\/strong>This ground-breaking publication has surveyed the MICE <em>made in France<\/em> in 2018. As a result, last year there were no fewer than <strong>380\u00a0000 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mega-events-france-congres-20191125.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">events <\/a><\/strong>companies and institutions, the majority (54%) of whom are <strong>seminars<\/strong>. One event in five (20%) took the form of a <strong>company party<\/strong>operations <strong>external communication<\/strong> representing 13% of the panel. These various events brought together <strong>52 million participants<\/strong> in total, including <strong>11% of foreign guests<\/strong>. Unsurprisingly, the Paris region took the lion's share, with a third of participants (32%).<\/p>\n<p>This new study also attempted to estimate the financial windfall associated with this activity. This would reach <strong>32 billion euros<\/strong>9.2 billion generated by events in the Paris region. These economic spin-offs will mainly benefit (52%) companies in the following sectors <strong>event production<\/strong> (reception, layout, content services, event catering, site hire, etc.). But the players in the <strong>tourism<\/strong> (transport to and from the event, accommodation, catering and retailing) were the main beneficiaries, accounting for the remaining 48%. Another key figure is that corporate events are responsible for the creation - or maintenance - of some <strong>350,000 jobs<\/strong> in France, the majority (55%) in the tourism
