{"id":92013,"date":"2019-12-31T06:14:26","date_gmt":"2019-12-31T05:14:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=92013"},"modified":"2019-12-31T11:15:42","modified_gmt":"2019-12-31T10:15:42","slug":"hub-tokyo-haneda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hub-tokyo-haneda","title":{"rendered":"The Tokyo Haneda hub goes from strength to strength"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The airport of <strong>Haneda<\/strong> has one major advantage: it is only 30 minutes by public transport from the heart of Paris. <strong>Tokyo<\/strong>hub, compared with over an hour for the <strong>Narita<\/strong>. A strength that is also supported by the local authorities, as the Japanese government is helping Haneda to grow by releasing <strong>air slots<\/strong>. The recent award of <strong>50 new slots<\/strong> will enable companies to <strong>nine countries<\/strong> to strengthen their presence in Haneda or to relocate there. These moves should generate <strong>seven million additional passengers<\/strong>bringing the platform's theoretical capacity to <strong>25 million passengers<\/strong> on international routes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All Nippon Airways<\/strong> (ANA) and <strong>Japan Airlines<\/strong> unveiled their expansion plans. ANA will begin flights to five new destinations, linking Haneda to Milan Malpensa and Istanbul, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/moscou-ville-pleine-metamorphose-20171127.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moscow<\/a>Shenzhen and Stockholm. The airline also plans to offer routes already served from Tokyo Narita to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/san-francisco-soma-silicon-valley-20171016.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Francisco<\/a> and Qingdao, China. The Japanese carrier has also announced that it is transferring its flights to Delhi, Houston and San Jose from Narita to Haneda, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/seattle-esprit-pacific-northwest-20190326.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seattle<\/a> and Washington DC, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sydney-cbd-theorie-de-levolution-20160526.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sydney<\/a> and Los Angeles will be served twice a day. In Vietnam, ANA will be positioning one of its two flights to Haneda on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hotellerie-hochiminhville-20180625.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ho Chi Minh City<\/a>The Hanoi route will remain at Narita. This new distribution will make it possible to \"<em>enhancing the appeal of the Haneda hub<\/em>\"according to Seiichi Takahashi, Vice President of ANA. All these international flights operated by the airline will be relocated to <strong>next March<\/strong> in the <strong>terminal 2<\/strong>until now dedicated to domestic flights.<\/p>\n<p>For its part, Japan Airlines (JAL) will transfer its Dallas-Fort Worth route to Haneda, as well as two daily flights to Honolulu. At the end of March 2020, the Narita - <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/new-york-perpetuelle-metamorphose-20180704.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York <\/a>JFK and Narita-Chicago will also be redeployed to Haneda. In Europe, the airline is repositioning the Narita-Helsinki route at Haneda, in the same way as its partner <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/finnair-japon-20191015.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Finnair<\/a><\/strong>. In the Asia-Pacific region, JAL will serve Delhi, Shanghai-Pudong, Dalian and Sydney from the airport closest to the centre of Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>Haneda is in fact the leading airport in the Japanese archipelago, handling <strong>88 million passengers<\/strong> per year, including 18.5 million on international routes. However, the country's main air gateway remains Tokyo-Narita, with over 32 million international passengers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Japanese government is to boost the
