The containment<\/strong> applied in France since Tuesday, the closure of the Schengen area<\/strong> to visitors from outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, and the lifting of European rules on the compulsory use of slots<\/strong> - the famous slots at the most congested airports - are leading to a collapse in air traffic. With the suspension of all non-Schengen international routes at most airports, the hubs should temporarily return to traffic levels equivalent to those recorded in the 1960s...<\/p>\n

An environment that forces French airports<\/strong> \u00e0 consolidate their activities<\/strong> for limit operating costs<\/strong>. It should be noted that most airport shops and catering outlets are closed - with the exception of takeaway counters, newsagents and the car rental companies<\/strong>. The measure is consistent with the transition to stage 3 of the epidemic.<\/p>\n

For all passengers, airports post on their websites a list of flights operated with daily updates, and some also publish a list of cancelled flights.<\/p>\n

Here is a list of current operations at France's largest remaining airports all open<\/strong>as instructed by the Ministry of Transport.<\/p>\n

Paris<\/h3>\n

From gradual closure of terminals<\/a> for Paris airport<\/strong> are underway: Orly 2 will be closed from Wednesday (formerly the part where Easyjet flights and the Air France shuttle service are located in the former Orly-Ouest), as will terminals 3 and 2G at Roissy from 11.30pm on 22 March until further notice.<\/p>\n

List of airlines transferred to Paris CDG and Orly :\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

- Air France, Air France Hop, Luxair: flights operated from Terminal 2F<\/p>\n

- Air Transat, Air Arabia Egypt, Air Arabia Maroc, Air Cairo, Alba Star, Blue Air, Enter Air, Fly Egypt, Freebird Airline, Jet2.com, Nouvelair, Smartwings, SunExpress, TUI Fly Belgium, Tunisair: flights operated from Terminal 1<\/p>\n

- Vueling, Level, Iberia Express: flights transferred to Terminal 2D.<\/p>\n

- ASL Airlines: flights transferred to Terminal 2A and Terminal 2D.<\/p>\n

Closure of ORLY 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

- easyJet : flights operated from Paris-Orly - ORLY 1 - Portes A<\/p>\n

- Air Europa : flights operated from Paris-Orly - ORLY 1 - Portes A<\/p>\n

- Pegasus Airlines : flights operated from Paris-Orly - ORLY 4<\/p>\n

Biarritz<\/h3>\n

The airport will remain open as long as flights are maintained, according to the website.<\/p>\n

Bordeaux<\/h3>\n

The flights of all airlines, except easyJet, will continue to operate from Hall A until further notice. easyJet flights remain confined to the Billi terminal. The 30'Direct shuttle service between Saint-Jean station and Paris Airport will continue to operate until further notice. Bordeaux<\/a> has been suspended since Wednesday, but services on Line 1 are still guaranteed.<\/p>\n

Lille<\/a><\/h3>\n

All shops on the platform are closed. Shuttles to the city centre are operational.<\/p>\n

Lyon<\/a><\/h3>\n

All terminals remain open until further notice. The Rh\u00f4nexpress tramway between Part Dieu and the airport is operating normally.
\n<\/a><\/p>\n

Marseille<\/h3>\n

Airport operations have been concentrated on Terminal 1 Hall B since Wednesday. Terminal 2 is now closed, while Terminal 1 Hall A is expected to close shortly as the flight schedule is phased out. Marseille Provence Airport<\/a> In collaboration with the Agence R\u00e9gionale de Sant\u00e9 (ARS), it is deploying reinforced and systematic procedures for disinfecting infrastructures and protecting staff on duty. All of these measures are designed to optimise passenger flows on the remaining flights, ensure the safety of their journey through the hub, and optimise compliance with public health obligations.<\/p>\n

Montpellier<\/h3>\n

All shuttle services to the airport are provided.<\/p>\n

Nantes<\/a><\/h3>\n

All shops are closed except for takeaways and two newsagents.<\/p>\n

Nice<\/h3>\n

Since midnight on Monday 16 March, all flights have been operated from terminal 2 only. The airport decided to take this measure in order to optimise passenger flow management. The tram service to the airport is being maintained with a timetable based on Saturday frequencies.<\/p>\n

Rennes<\/h3>\n

The airport is closed until further notice.<\/p>\n

Strasbourg<\/h3>\n

The airport's bars, restaurants and travel agencies are closed, with the exception of the Casino Relay. Shuttle trains between the airport and Strasbourg<\/a> now stop at 6pm in both directions.<\/p>\n

Toulouse<\/a><\/h3>\n

The terminals remain open, but all shops, except car hire firms, are closed. However, vending machines offer snacks and drinks.<\/p>\n

A special case: Basel-Mulhouse<\/h3>\n

As an official binational airport<\/strong> With part of the terminal in the Swiss sector and the other part in the French sector, the airport must respect the instructions put in place by the two countries. As of 18 March, internal access to the airport between the French and Swiss sectors is only open to hub employees. Access to Germany - via the French or Swiss borders - is restricted to cross-border commuters working in the country. The hub's restaurants and shops are closed, with only takeaway sales and tobacconists and newsagents remaining open on the French side.<\/p>\n

Transport is still provided to Basel city and Mulhouse, as the direct route between the airport and Basel city is under Swiss customs control with no access to French territory.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
