While many business travellers may already have experienced the many advantages of studios and flats with fitted kitchens<\/strong>, players in the long-stay hotel sector<\/a> are also looking to the summer visitors, who this year will be playing at home to kick-start business. Adagio<\/a> is highlighting the reopening of its residences on the Mediterranean coast, starting this week in Marseille and on 15 June in Aix en Provence and Monaco. The Adagio Nice Promenade des Anglais, for its part, remained open during the lockdown to welcome customers and care staff, as did 27 other establishments in the Paris region, as well as in Bordeaux, Nantes, Strasbourg and Toulouse.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, three-quarters of the 116 Adagio aparthotels had to close their doors in the face of the pandemic. The long-stay brand, jointly owned by Accor and Pierre&Vacances, is now preparing to reopen these sites, 90% to be available by the end of June<\/strong>. Similarly, Ascott will be gradually reopening its 30 Citadines in France later this month. To date, five Paris residences have already opened, as have the Citadines in Cannes, Grenoble, Lille, Lyon Part-Dieu, Marseille Castellane, Montpellier, Strasbourg and Toulouse. In Europe, residences in Berlin, Brussels Toison d'or, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London and Munich are also operational. As for the 35 Odalys City hotel apartments in France, they will reopen gradually from 06 June.<\/p>\n

Like hotel groups, all of which have stepped up their health measures<\/a>Odalys City, the leading provider of long-stay accommodation, has introduced hygiene and safety measures tailored to its residential offering. Designed on the basis of a set of standards defined by the Socotec Group, Odalys City has drawn up a health charter, which is currently being deployed in its establishments and includes the provision of masks and hydro-alcoholic gel in common areas and reinforced cleaning measures.<\/p>\n

At Citadines, flat cleaning can be carried out on a more regular basis on request. thorough disinfection<\/strong>These include mattresses and curtains. At Adagio, additional cleaning sessions are offered at reasonable rates, in addition to the weekly cleaning included in the price. The new cleaning protocol has been drawn up on the basis of information available from the WHO and the Ministries of Health and Labour, while the equipment and products used to clean the flats and communal areas are naturally bactericidal. In addition to this enhanced cleaning protocol, Adagio provides its customers with a kit of products for cleaning their flat.<\/p>\n

While hydro-alcoholic gel will be widely distributed in all residences, Citadines will be offering a pocket version<\/strong> in bedrooms. In other measures, masks will be required for staff and customers in public areas, and residences will see their reception areas redesigned with Plexiglas windows and zoning to avoid group effects.
