In a recent opinion piece, the airlines <strong>British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair<\/strong>the three largest players in the British air transport industry, have expressed their anger at the measure taken by Boris Johnson's government, namely the introduction of a <strong>mandatory 14-day quarantine<\/strong> for all travellers to the UK. The measure applies to <strong>all modes of transport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The government justifies this decision by the need to control the Covid-19 pandemic. It is true that the government still seems to be struggling to get the epidemic under control. With almost 290,000 cases and 41,000 deaths, the UK is now the country hardest hit by the health crisis.<\/p>\n<p>In a Europe where a large number of EU countries <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/deconfinement-dernieres-informations-20200512.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>reopen their borders<\/strong> from mid-June<\/a>The United Kingdom is therefore an exception, further jeopardising a recovery in its tourism and aviation sectors.<\/p>\n<p>So a coalition was formed, <strong>\"Quash Quarantine<\/strong> bringing together <strong>500 companies<\/strong> from the world of travel, including the three airlines mentioned above, as well as Sir Rocco Forte and the luxury London hotels Ritz and Dorchester. While many scientists believe that such a quarantine will only be <strong>not very effective<\/strong> Faced with a potential second wave of the pandemic, the government, already under pressure, finally seems to be coming round.<\/p>\n<p>At a conference with the British media, Quash Quarantine confirmed that it had received private assurances from the government that <strong>\"Aerial bridges<\/strong> from country to country. Countries would be assessed according to the potential degree of health risk.
